During the first trimester, many women experience symptoms of fatigue, nausea, more frequent urination, breast tenderness and an increase in bust size. As soon as you have observed a positive pregnancy test, you should begin taking a prenatal vitamin. You may choose to get an Over-the-Counter (OTC) brand or have your doctor write a prescription for one. If the pill form makes you nauseous, you may wish to try a gummy OTC brand instead.

You may notice your body growing wider, preparing for birth. Weight gain differs for women during pregnancy. Check with your practitioner about a healthy weight gain during your own pregnancy.

By the end of the first trimester, most women experience a lift in nausea. The reality of being pregnant may also become more concrete to you and your partner.
