There are several options for genetic screening to help ease the minds of concerned parents, during pregnancy. Some are available as early as ten weeks into the pregnancy – but keep in mind that these are NOT diagnostic tests, but tests that screen for the possibility of genetic problems. Please talk with your practitioner to determine whether or not you should schedule a genetic screening for yourself.

To get a better idea of the different tests provided, view acog.org’s infographic chart on genetic testing.
